Religious Persecution of Palestinian Muslims

This report focuses on the religious persecution of Palestinian Muslims in the occupied Palestinian territory (oPt) that is part of Israel’s systematic discrimination against Palestinians and the targeted destruction of Palestinian and Muslim heritage sites across the oPt. The report covers Israel’s intentional fragmentation of the territorial contiguity of the oPt, restriction of movement and access to holy sites such as Al-Aqsa Mosque for Palestinians, and what the UN’s Commission of Inquiry on the oPt has said amounts to ‘war crimes and the crime against humanity of extermination’ – the attacks on religious and cultural Palestinian sites by Israel.
