2024 UK General Election

In the lead to the 2024 UK General Election, Palestine is one of the key issues on the minds of many voters. The International Centre of Justice for Palestinians (ICJP) will create resources for campaigners to help inform voters and ensure that prospective parliamentary candidates can be scrutinised on their position on Palestine. These resources will be added below and updated during the course of the campaign.

Manifesto Demands

The International Centre of Justice for Palestinians has outlined the following eleven demands for political parties to include in their manifestos ahead of the 2024 General Election. Prospective Parliamentary Candidates (PPCs) should also outline their willingness and intention to seek to hold the government to account to implement these demands.

These manifesto demands are not only essential for justice and compliance with international humanitarian law but also for the advancement of global peace and security. It is in the United Kingdom’s interest that its government upholds the principles of the rules-based order and complies with international humanitarian law. The document outlining the full list of demands can be accessed below:

Doorstepping Guide

ICJP has designed a ‘Doorstepping Guide’ for the general public to help out if you get doorstepped by a canvasser or candidate ahead of the General Election on July 4th.

This document provides the definitive list of questions to guage their positions on Palestine an international law – and it flags the classic loopholes politicians use to get out of answering the questions. Make them give you a direct answer – accept no excuses, half-truths, or lies.

If you have any suggestions or feedback, and especially if you would like to share any of the candidates answers, please email [email protected].
